Paper Title
Design of Remote Real Time Video Image Transfer and Enlargement Display System
Abstract
In this paper, we present the design and implementation of transferring the low resolution image and displaying them real-timely on screen in the high resolution form. Many continuous images are first captured and transformed into stream format in advance by software processing in the PC side. These image stream are then stored into the DDR3 within the FPGA development board via Ethernet cable. Each image in DDR3 is feed into the FPGA enlargement unit and the output image is 3×3 times larger than the original one. These enlarged frame is then delivered to the HDMI cable for real time display. The bicubic interpolation algorithm is used within the enlargement unit. The resolution for original image is 640x360 and the final display resolution is 1920x1080. The UDP protocol is used for transfer image and 30fps frame rate, corresponding to Ethernet bit rate of 221Mbs, can be achieved in our design.
