Online Tracking, Monitoring and Evaluation System of Student’s Field Training of Jubail University College

Abstract
The proposed study is an Online Tracking, Monitoring and Evaluation System of Student’s Field Training for Jubail University College. An upgraded version of the traditional method of tracking, monitoring and evaluating for the senior students who undergoes field training program. The project makes it easier to access records and formulate reports accurately and give some information on how to improve the tracking and evaluation made by the Trainor per trainees, evaluation made by the adviser per student and to monitor the records of the college. The previous manual in tracking, monitoring and evaluation of student field training produced inconvenience, unsecure, slow processing method, and was inaccurate and not user friendly in doing a tracking, monitoring and evaluation not only to the students but also for the industry Trainor, adviser and for the whole college. The present system is designed solely and is limited for the Jubail University College’s use every end of the semester. The researcher used the methodology called Prototyping Model because it fits the way they conduct their research. It involves ten stages which are (1) Initial Requirements (2) Design (3) Prototyping (4) Prototype Evaluation (5) Review and Update (6) Development (7) Deployment (8) Testing (9) System Evaluation and (10) Maintenance. In assessing the proposed system, a five-point rating scale questionnaire was used with the students, field training advisers and industry partner Trainor’s as participants. This assessment helped determine the functionality, efficiency, compatibility, usability, reliability, security, maintainability and portability of the system, which are based on the ISO 25010 Software Quality Standards. As per the evaluation of IT experts, the developed system quality is “Very Great Extent”. The result implies that the system complied with the ISO 25010 software quality standards and attained its intended objectives.
