Transperception in the Female Characters Gerty and Molly of Ulysses
Abstract
Investigation of Ulysses (1922) by James Joyce. This paper presents that this text is characterized by a series of narrative fissures in the paradigm of the female characters of Gerty and Molly that generates a transperception in the reader. The explanation of this neologism is aimed at highlighting the various narrative elements emerging in the text, the break with the traditional female model and the understanding of a new modeling of the world. The methodology was based on the study of the text and its break with the modeling system of the previous story. The main authors consulted in the investigation were: Eco, Gifford, Gilbert and Lotman.
