Paper Title
Rule-Based Energy Management Strategy for a Pure Electric Vehicle
Abstract
This paper presents a rule-based (RB) energy management system combined with power filtering for a pure electric vehicle. Li-Ion battery and Super capacitors (SC) hybrid storage system (HESS) provides energy using a full-active parallel topology. The main objective of this work is to reduce the degradation of the battery and ensure an efficient power distribution. The Energetic Macroscopic Representation (EMR) approach is used to organize the studied system. To evaluate the impact of SC contribution and the efficiency of the energy management system (EMS), the proposed RB strategy is compared to a classical battery storage model using Matlab/Simulink simulation and the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC).
