Sensorless Predictive Control of AFE Rectifier Using Fuzzy Controller With Robust Adaptive Inductance Estimation

Abstract
This paper presents the application of Finite Control Set-Model Predictive Control(FCS-MPC) strategy to Active Front End Rectifier for Direct Power Control. Sensor less predictive direct power control method requires accurate voltage estimation. Model based voltage estimation creates two problems namely the derivatives of line currents and the need for knowing the accurate values of parameters of the model. The First problem is diminished by using the proposed band pass filter. The second problem of knowing the accurate values of parameters, mainly inductance is solved by MRAS based inductance estimator. For robust estimation of inductance, MRAS method based on Lyapunov function is used. The control strategy uses the fuzzy controller. Simulation results verify the performance of the method.
