Does Workforce Engagement Matters in the Turnaround Organizations‟ Outcomes?

Abstract
This research aims to investigate the role of employee engagement in enhancing the relationship between leadership style & turnaround organizations’ outcomes. By applying the survey on the employees of the middle sized distressed organizations in the Egyptian Oil & Gas sector, in relation to the overall Turnaround outcomes. The tested conceptual framework on successful/unsuccessful turnaround strategy implementation analyzes the mediating role of employee engagement between leadership style and organizational turnaround outcomes. The study results indicated the significant impact of leadership style on organizational turnaround outcomes. Also, employee engagement partially mediates the relationship between transformational leadership and organizational turnaround outcomes and the partial mediation between transactional leadership and organizational turnaround outcomes Keywords - Employee Engagement, Leadership Style, Turnaround Organizations
