Study Concerning the Design and Functionality of Orthoses

Abstract
The present case study wishes to be an incursion into the universe of the human body and the physical traumas that tend to appear in the bone system following unfortunate incidents. It is intended to present the evolution of medical devices that have innovated the medical universe and helped over time in the healing process of traumas and fractures. As future directions, this article wishes to start the concept design and development of an innovative improved device that will be used in the case of mild traumas situated in the lower limbs, focused especially in healing of the patients that have suffered toe fractures or mild traumas, considering also today’s society requirements regarding materials, social status and possibilities.
