The Importance of Writing Practice for the English Language Class in the Saudi Arabia Education
Abstract
This paper argues that writing should play a principal role in teaching a second language. This skill has several features to improve the learners' cognitive and knowledge and their second language comprehension. The nature of the writing process helps the L2 students to enhance their other skills. Despite the challenge of L2 (writing), it is considered the best implement to develop the second language's other skills such as reading, syntax, and lexis because practicing composing a text serves the L2 students to focus on these skills and improve them to achieve the success of professional writing.This paper presents the advantages of using writing to learn in English as a second language (ESL) classes.
