Paper Title
An Intelligent Traffic Congestion Management Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks

Abstract
Wireless sensor networks are used to facilitate various real time applicationssuch as monitoring or controlling temperature, humidity and pressure by using a wide range of sensor nodes. Sensor nodes are assigned through various resource restrictions such as, bandwidth, battery power, available memory, and data rate. This paper demonstrates the problem of packet congestion in a sensor network that happened during packet transportation from different nodes. Therefore, in order to provide good traffic congestion management in a network, an intelligent traffic congestion management (ITCM) algorithm is proposed to minimize packet congestion. This proposed ITCM algorithm was developed by integrating different algorithms namely: artificial intelligence-based semantic Internet of Things (AI-SIoT) algorithm and Adaptive Compression-based congestion control (ACC) algorithm. These packet congestion leads to poor network throughput and packet delivery ratio during the packet transmission from and to different nodes. The simulation is performed on the NS-2 simulation platform. The simulation results showed that the proposed ITCM algorithm can improve the packet delivery ratio, network throughput and End-to-end delay when compared with AI-SIoT algorithm and ACC algorithm.
