Relative Permeability Determination for Parallel Layered Porous Media: Lattice Boltzmann Method

Abstract
In the current paper, a lattice Boltzmann method for binary fluids was investigated to determine the relative permeability of a parallel layered porous media at different conditions. The model was validated with the laplace law for three different interfacial tesion and poiseulle flow for different mobility ratios. In the following, mass conservative problem of the model was considered and the influencing factor was examined. Findings demonstrsted that saturation was deacreased while time passed. In the last part, obtained relative permeability curve for this heterogenous porous media have been discussed. Keywords - Lattice Boltzmann Method, Relative Permeability, Porous Media, Pore Scale
