Paper Title
Hunting as a Method of Management of Wolf (Canis lupus) Population

Abstract
Growing population of wolves, that are strictly protected species in Poland, causes discussion about necessity of hunting those predators. The main reason to change their status to game species is to reduce their number and reduce losses in livestock and wild ungulates caused by them. Postulants of wolf hunting indicate that only legal hunt will provide a stable level of wolf population, increase the acceptance of their presence by hunters and farmers and decrease poaching. However, according to scientific studies, wolf hunt may cause a lot of threats to the population of those predators. Our goal was to estimate if hunting is actually a good method of wolf population management. Keywords - Wolf Hunting, Population Management, Poaching
