Paper Title
Thermal Analysis of Structural Elements with Simplified Software Approach

Abstract
Fire performance of structural element is one of the important aspects during the service life of the structure. The fire performance assessment of structure requires determination of temperature distribution within structural elements and mechanical analysis considering the effects of temperature. Therefore, Predicting the change of temperature field accurately in reinforced concrete structures under fire is very important for the analysis of deformation and fire resistance performance. In recent literature numerous thermal models are proposed which are based on standard fire exposure temperature dependent material properties and varying thermal boundary conditions. Further in various design guidelines such as Eurocode (1992 1-2:2004) temperature variation at different locations of structural members is presented in form of thermal contours. The reported data is available for particular section geometries with limited thermal boundary conditions and standard fire exposure. This study aims at developing simplified approach for the prediction of thermal profile for different realistic fire curve, geometrical configurations, temperature dependent material properties and thermal boundary conditions. The thermal analysis of structural elements is carried out by proposed finite element based software approach under standard heating conditions. The reliability of model is verified through validating available literature models and experimental results.
