Structural Interpretative Analysis of Factors Effecting Resilience in Urban Neighbourhoods to Earthquake; Case Study: Neighbourhoods within a 3KM Radius of North Fault of Tehran
Abstract
In recent years, views about natural hazards have changed from physical views based on vulnerability to comprehensive urban resilience views based on economic, social, organizational and physical aspects. For this reason, many variations considered in resilience studies that have led to create complicated relationships between variations and criteria. The purpose of this study is finding effectiveness and impact relationships between variations and group them in the subject of earthquake. The structural interpretative analysis is used as the method of study and the MICMAC software is used for data analyzing. Two-rounds Delphi method, targeted and sequential methods are used for sampling, which in that the views and opinions of 17 urban issues experts are obtained. The findings show that resilience variables are divided in 4 categories: independent variables, effective variables, dependent variables and link variables. According to this classification, physical and functional variables are in dependent category, economic and demographic variables are in independent category, organizational and urban management variables are in effective category and finally people and inter-organizational partnerships variables are in link category.
