Face Detection and Recognition using Logistic Regression, K-Nearest Neighbor, and Principal Component Analysis

Abstract
This paper presents an algorithm for face detection and recognition using principal component analysis (PCA). The face features are extracted to be detected using Logistic regression and K-nearest neighbor classifiers and there will be a comparison to find the optimum classifier to be used with PCA. Then, the obtained features are used for face recognition by Principal component analysis for eigenfaces to make a decision whether he or she is recognized or not.
