Impact of Aging Trend for Construction Industry–Case Study in Taiwan

Abstract
For the last several decades, population aging in most countries has proceeded with economic growth. And Taiwan’s population is aging at the fastest rate among developed countries. However, labors shortage in construction industry of Taiwan is a well-known phenomenon in recent years. So far, no studies or statistics are sufficient to present the specific data for the impact of aging trend. This study takes into account with some data and totally understand the real situation. The results could be considered for policymakers and the government to overcome this issue in Taiwan. Keywords - Aging trend, BIM, Labor shortage
