Paper Title
Proposed Naval Bow form for Minimum Wave Resistance

Abstract
Bow form is one of the most concerns of the ship hydrodynamic researchers for minimizing wave making resistance. In this paper, modification was carried out on the sonar dome bulb of a naval combatant hull through geometrical modeling. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation of the chosen original model was validated. The hull’s sonar dome bulb is modified by changing length and width of the bulb individually and change both together. It is found that the bulb having the longest and widest is the best one which reduce wave making resistance about 52%, at high speed when compared with the original one. New geometrical modification of optimal bulb is created by changing the inclined angle of bulb from zero degree in both clockwise and anticlockwise direction. The results show that an increase of wave making resistance about 1.1% and 0.6 % if bulb inclined in clockwise and anticlockwise for 5 degree, respectively. For lower wave resistance, the zero is found to be the best of the bulb inclination. New optimal form of bow is proposed having the biggest volume chosen in the present work with zero bulb inclination.
