Paper Title
Effect of Heat Activation on Glass Fibre Reinforced Fly Ash Geopolymer

Abstract
In the wake of the global environmental crisis, various fields of research have come up with different solutions to mitigate the pollution causes. One among them being the idea of reusing the waste generated. construction industry which is among the major contributors to green house gas emissions has adopted to this idea giving rise to a new segment of research termed as 'green concrete' that aims to replace cement in concrete with more eco-friendly substituent's. The technology of geopolymerisation introduced in 1978 fits well into the concept of 'green concrete' as it employs fly-ash instead of cement. Geopolymer concrete has gained momentum in the aspect of being able to replace conventional concrete in terms of strength and durability performance. However it’s practical usage is limited to pre-cast construction due to heat requirement for curing. In this study the heat activation is induced at the stage of mixing itself hence modifying the conventional geopolymer to give modified geopolymer. In this current study, appreciable improvement in mechanical properties and durability of fly ash based geopolymer mortar has been observed due to this alteration. Further, the strength of modified geopolymer mortar with addition of glass fibres is also reported in this study. Keywords - Fly ash, Geopolymer, Glass Fibre
