The Business Success Factors of Manufacturers who want to Upgrade their Products to Become One Tambon One Product (OTOP), Ranong, Thailand

Abstract
According to the Royal Initiative of the ‘Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy’ of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, emphasizes that the producers or consumers try to produce or consume within the limit or limitation of existing income or resources first. This is the principle in decreasing the dependence and increasing the ability to control the production themselves, thus deceasing the risk from not being able to efficiently control the market system. This research aims to study success factors in business for manufacturers who want to upgrade their products to become One Tambon One Product (OTOP) which are selected as 3-5 star product levels inRanong Province, Thailand. The results found that: 1) Producers must have knowledge and understanding of strategic business skills such as marketing, accounting and financial management, branding and production standard. 2) The products must have developed logo and packaging design, and they should be done and evaluate by professionals, also have outsourcing for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). 3) Strength, harmony, and self-reliance of membership in manufacturers and community enterprise groups. So have ability to operate business without waiting for government support. Sufficiency Economy can lead to the goal of establishing economic stability. This is an economic system that can help lessen the risk or economic instability in the long run.
