The Development of Mathematical Thinking through Problem Solving Activities
The purpose of this research was to study mathematical thinking of students’ mathematics major who were taught by using activities which composed of compare mathematical thinking of students who were taught by using activities between before and after being taught and study mathematical thinking development of students who were taught by using activities. The target group was consisted of 40 persons who is students’ mathematics major of the faculty of education, SSRU of the 2017 academic year. The instrument for data collection were five activities, worksheets and interview form. The results of study revealed that: 1.There are differences in mathematical thinking of student between before and after being. The mathematical thinking of the students after being taught was better than before being taught. 2. The students who were taught by using mathematizing process had been gradually improved mathematical thinking when comparing between before and being taught.
