Abstract
In this article we show the impact of socio, religious, economic and educational backgrounds on the conflict management style of cooperation between parents and children. It’s expected from parent that have more years of education to seek to adopt a cooperative conflict management approach with their children and reach a fair solution. On the other side, the greater the commitment of parents to laws and religious behaviors, the less the parents seek to reach a just solution, but the adoption of a method of obligation to reach the absolute obedience of the children. The large family is expected to be less cooperative. Independent variables include: sex of the parents, years of education, religious belief, type of religion (Muslim / Christian) and sex of the teenager. We use the dependent variable: "A just solution that is reported twice: by parents as well as by children. This variable is linked to the pursuit of cooperation between parents and children as parents negotiate with their children about reaching a solution that satisfies both parties. thatjust solution is often linked to the method of cooperation to manage the conflict, and can also be linked to the method of settlement, where the settlement may lead to a solution aimed to satisfy the other side, but without affecting self-interest. The results indicate that parents believe that mothers are less than fathers report that they have reached a fair solution with their children. More educated families are less willing to seek affair solution. As for the parallel variable, reaching a fair solution (children) provides an unexpected result as the larger the size of the family allows access to fair solutions to conflicts and they learn how to respect each other's desires. Also wenotesthat when it comes to sex and family size, parents and children see things differently and contradictory results.
