Paper Title
Association of Anthropometric Indices of Obesity with Atherosclerosis in Chinese Population

Abstract
Objective: To identify the best indicator of obesity for assessing atherosclerosis. Method: A cross-sectional study to assess the associations of various obesity indicators with atherosclerosis and to compare the predictive power of different indicators for atherosclerosis was carried out among 1497 participants in China. Results: After adjusting for multiple factors, WHR and VFA had the highest ORs with 1.96 (1.07-3.62) and 1.82 (1.00-3.32) in males,VFA and WHtR remained the highest OR with 4.18 (95% CI: 1.88-9.31) and 3.27 (95% CI: 1.48-7.21) in females. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curvefor WHtR was the highest in females with 0.74. Conclusions: It is recommended that VFA be used as an indicator of obesity when conditions permit. when economic conditions are relatively weak, consider using WHR(males) or WHtR(females).
