Effect of Sudarshan Kriya-Breathing Exercise on Stress among In-Service Male Ages from 35-45 Year

Abstract
The stress is a fact that most human being do not know how to reduce & manage their stress Properly. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of SKBE Sudarshan Kriya - Breathing Exercise on stress among in-service male ages from 35-45 year. The present study was conducted on 30 employees .The subjects were randomly selected from different government offices from Faridkot - Punjab.The project duration was 2 months, who were given a 6-day course of training in rhythmic breathing- slow, medium and fast cycles, meditation, yoga, interactive discussions for attitude training, and adherence to a vegetarian diet, followed with 7 weeks of short, In SKBE sessions listing counting and directions and breathing accordingly were practiced 30-minute daily sessions of practice of SKBE and once-weekly 75-minute sessions of SKBE. The questionnaire prepared by Dr. Reena Kaul and Bedi 2001 were used for data collection The pre and post test was used for assessing the effects of SKBE on stress. The results showed significant difference between pre test and post test at 0.01 level. Pre test and post test means were compared by t-test .It is concluded that there is positive effect of SKBE on stress among in-service male ages from 35-45 year.It can help the employees to make them free from stress situation.
