Mind Mapping: A Helping Tool for Making Learning Plans in Kindergarten
Abstract
The ability to arrange learning plans is one of the tasks that must be done by the teachers before learning. Arranging the plan contained in the content standard, which is one of the 8 National Early Childhood Care Education Standards, must be implemented in organizing education for early childhood, including the kindergarten age group. In fact, difficulties are still found in preparing learning plans. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of mind mapping as a tool for planning learning in kindergarten. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The data was collected by using questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis is performed with descriptive statistics, and presented in graphical and narrative form. The results of the study found that Mind mapping can be used as a tool for teachers’ learning planning so they can easily determine themes, sub themes, learning materials, and determine learning activities that will be given to children.
