The Impacts of Population’s Living Quality on CO2 Emissions: Evidence from China’s Different Economic Development Regions

Abstract
Based on the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 1998 to 2014, this paper divides these provinces into three regions with low, middle and high economic development, and studies the impacts of population’s living quality on carbon dioxide emissions. The results show that the impacts of population living quality on carbon dioxide emissions are significant and varies with different regions with different economic development level.
