Analysis of Phytosanitary Practices of Farmers in Khenchela Algeria

Abstract
The farmer uses more than 90% of the amount of active substances. The action on agricultural practices is therefore of interest for the purpose of evaluating the use of plant protection products and to measure the degree of sensitivity on risks related to operator exposure to pesticides (use of PPE). This study was carried out by a field survey with farmers from Khenchela north eastern Algeria. The results obtained showed that only few farmers have respected the approved dosis of plant protection products during the preparation and the majority have an adapted and complete equipment and use them during the preparation of tank mixtures, treatment and rinsing of material. People who report having one of the health problems are farmers who use some or no personal protection equipment. Keywords - Khenchela, Phutosanitary Practices, PPE, Health.
