Silver Nanoparticles Supported On P-Se Codoped g-C3n4 As A Novel Nanocatalyst For Reduction of Nitroaromatics to The Corresponding Amines, Using NaBH4
Abstract
In this study, in situ P-Se codoped g-C3N4 (PSeCN) was prepared by facile thermal polymerization for the first time and was used as the suitable support for the immobilization of Ag nanoparticles (NPs). The synthesized nanocatalyst was well characterized via standard analysis methods (EDX, ICP-OES, XRD, FT-IR, SEM, TEM and BET). PSeCN/Ag nanocomposite with higher specific surface area compared with CN, showed excellent catalytic activity towards nitroaromatic compounds hydrogenation to the corresponding amines in a short time with high efficiency, and using water as a green solvent and could be reused 7 times without appreciable loss in its catalytic activity.
