Rotational Effects on Vortex Shedding Behaviour of A Cylinder With Surface Roughness An Experimental Piv And Computational Approach

Abstract
Mostly a wake flow can contribute to unwanted vortex shedding and vibration of different frequencies. If this phenomenon continues for a long time, a bluff body is likely to experience damage caused by inconsistent flow, which can lead to failure. This paper examines vortex shedding behaviour behind a rotating cylinder with surface roughness. Experimental and numerical two-dimensional approaches are taken. In a wind tunnel experiment, there is free-stream velocities of uniform incompressible flow around the circular cylinder (D=50mm). Surface roughness at 5.0m
