Paper Title
Responses to Sexually Abused Learners in Rural Schools in Zimbabwe

Abstract
Child sexual abuse denies learners of their virtuosity and innocence, leaving not only them, but also their family members, with a host of negative effects. The aim of this study is to explore the needs and support of sexually abused learners in rural schools in Zimbabwe. We used a descriptive survey research design, and grounded the study in the person-centered theory of Carl Rogers. A non-probability sampling technique was used to select 5sexually abused form II girls as participants. Findings from the study revealed that the quest for justice after disclosure was greater than counselling as means of support. It is clear that family, friends or the school does not support sexually abused learners, which is vitalfor them to be able to function holistically in their respective communities and society.
