Business Succession Model for SMEs in The Central Europe Region

Abstract
Family businesses play an important role in the European Union's economy, accounting for around 60% of all European companies. Every year many cease to exist because of the inability to find a suitable successor or due to the absence of an effective succession plan. In addition, most of the current initiatives primarily support the creation of new businesses, the so-called "Start-ups", while issues and challenges related to the survival of existing companies are often overlooked.
