Paper Title
Level of Satisfaction with Condition of Facilities in Intra-Urban Motor Parks Across Density Areas of Lagos Metropolis, Lagos, Nigeria.

Abstract
This study evaluated commuters’ level of satisfaction with existing facilities in the intra-urban motor parks of IbejuLekki, IfakoIjaiye and Ikeja local government areas, Lagos State, Nigeria. The survey research design was adopted for investigation while data were primarily and secondarily sourced. The sample frame obtained for this study was the average daily carrying capacity (75,032 commuters) of intra-urban motor parks in the three density areas while the sample size was 376 (35 for IbejuLekki, 184 for IfakoIjaiye and 157 for Ikeja local government areas) based on Cochran’s sample size formula. The 376 sets of questionnaire were majorly used as research instrument. The purposive sampling technique was used for the survey while the sampling procedure ranged from the identification of the study area to the administration of questionnaire with commuters in the motor parks. Data were analysed using descriptive (frequency tables, charts and likert scale outputs) and inferential statistical techniques (Chi square was used for significant differences and ANOVA for significant variations among variables). The likert scale output of commuters’ perception of facilities in the motor parks also revealed children playground conditions and picnic benches with C.P.I. values of 1.99 and 1.98 as least, while lighting and market/shops had C.P.I. ratings of 3.12 and 3.05 as highest, out of a possible 5.00. In conclusion, the average commuter perception index of the facilities in the intra-urban motor parks across density areas of Lagos metropolis was 2.54 C.P.I., hence the condition of facilities were dissatisfactory. Therefore facilities in the intra-urban motor parks should be considered in the transport and environmental policies, with concentration on the private sector, with a view to engendering a conducive environment in the intra-urban motor parks of Lagos State, Nigeria.
