Paper Title
Optimization of Case Hardening Technology of Crankshaft for Two Stroke Racing Engine

Abstract
The paper describes experimental development of the cementation of crankshafts in different ways and comparison of the effect of the embedded normalization annealing. The results are focused on comparison of mechanical characteristics, i.e. tensile properties, notch toughness, hardness. Analyzes are complemented by metallographic images. The results of the chemical analysis suggest a replacement of existing steel with less alloyed steel, which is also more accessible and guarantees higher toughness of the manufactured parts and will help to increase the surface hardness to the required 60 + 2 HRC. Existing 20MnCr5 steel should be replaced with 16MnCr5 steel to reduce the risk of fractures. Keywords - Steel; Heat Treatment; Case-Hardening; Carburizing
