Effect of Adding Different Levels of Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) Powder on Performance Eggs Quality in Laying Hens (Hy-Line Brown)

Abstract
This study was conducted at the poultry farm, Department of Animal Resources, TikritUniversity for the period from 17/2/2018 to 8/6/2018.The experiment was aimed to investigating theeffect of adding different levels of Conjugated Linoleic Acid(CLA) powder on Performance Eggs Quality in Laying Hens (Hy-Line Brown). 300laying hens (Hy-Line Brown) at the age of 53 weeks were used. Hens were assigned randomly on 5 treatments three replicate for each treatments; 20 hens for each replicates.Experimental treatments were as follow: T1 (Control diet) without supplement, while the treatment T2,T3,T4 and T5 were Supplemented with 1, 1.5, 2,2.5g CLA/kg diet respectively. The diets were given in a ground form. The lighting program and the water supplementing regime were performed according to(guides for laying hen /Hy-Line Brown). The results showed The fifth treatment was significantly higher in the Albumin Index and Yolk Index andHaughUnitin most production periods compared with the first treatment, and a significant decrease in the Egg Shape Index for the experimental treatments which introduced the Conjugated Linoleic Acid(CLA)in the composition of the diet, especially the fifth treatment in all the productive periods compared to the first and third treatment which was significantly higher in most periods. It can be concluded that the addition of CLA with the diet led to improvement in the HaughUnit in addition to an improvement in the Albumin Index and Yolk Index and adding 1.5 g led to improvement of Egg Shape Index.
