Identification of Digital Media Literacy Capabilities in Housewives in Banjeng Village, Yogyakarta, Indonesia

Abstract
Digital media literacy skills of housewives in Banjeng village, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, are still low. Identification of media literacy skills for mothers needs to be done to provide media literacy education. This research uses methods; interviews, focus group discussions, and analysis of media content. The results of this study are housewives using digital media only limited to entertainment and little for information. Many digital media applications are unknown and not optimal in assisting their children in consuming digital media. Keywords - Digital Media Literacy, Housewives
