Financial Knowledge, Financial Counseling and Demand for Life Insurance

Abstract
The main objective of this research is to investigate the effect of financial knowledge and financial counseling on demand for life insurance. This research is an applied research in terms of purpose and in terms of data collection is a descriptive survey. The population of this research is all Iranian insurance clients who live in Tehran and they are applicant for life insurance. The minimum required sample size is estimated at 384 by the Cochran formula. Simple random sampling method was used. Data were analyzed by SPSS and Smart-PLS software. We used Structural Equations Modeling and hypotheses were investigated. The results of the research showed that financial knowledge has a significant effect on the demand for life insurance. It has a significant effect on financial consulting. The client’s trust to insurance company has a significant effect on the amount of financial counseling. Finally, financial counseling has a significant effect on the demand for life insurance. Keywords - Financial Knowledge, Financial Counseling, Trust, Demand, Life Insurance
