How to Acquire Valuable Knowledge in Firms Agglomerations?

Abstract
This paper focuses on how the strength and trust developed in interorganizational relationships drive the role of the sense of belonging to the industrial cluster in knowledge acquisition. The proposed model was applied to a sample of 166 companies located in the industrial clusters of the Spanish footwear industry. Findings suggest that the sense of belonging alone does not allow clustered firms to directly acquire external knowledge.
