Paper Title
Developing a Total Productivity Management Model (TPM) to Find the Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) of a Washer (Washing Machine) - A Case Study Of A Star Category Hotel

Abstract
The main purpose of this research paper is to determine the effect of Total productivity management (TPM) and its function in increasing the overall equipment efficiency (OEE) of the washers in the laundry department of a Star Category Hotel. The main objective is to observe whether there is an increase in the efficiency of the washer after implementation of required standard operating procedure which have been derived based on the result conducted. As the research paper is considered to be an observational study on the bases of a quantitative data which is supported by a live data analysis. This approach is taken in order to have an accurate measurement on the changes in the OEE. The data was differentiated with respect to a standard fish bone diagram and the main variables that affect the efficiency, along with the specified problems that influence these factors. Based on the calculations done to find the overall equipment efficiency, with the data taken before and after, we can come to the conclusion that the newly developed standard operating procedures can help increase the overall equipment efficiency. This research helps give an insight on how a hotel can implement total productivity management to help improve its income by modifying their standard operating procedure. This paper also helps clarify that an efficient laundry in a hotel is better than outsourcing its laundry to a third party business. Keywords - Total Productivity Management (TPM), Overall Effective Efficiency (OEE), Star Category, Washers.
