Analysis of Factors Influencing on Price Setting of Full-Service and Low-Cost Airline in Thailand

Abstract
This paper studies about the factor influencing on airfare price include full-service and low-cost airline. In this study, focuses on Bangkok Airway for full-service airline and Thai Air Asia for a low-cost airline. Both airline companies have domestic route flight in six major international airports in Thailand which are Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang, Chiang Mai, Mae Fah Luang, Phuket, and Hat Yai. This paper applied the Hedonic pricing model to find out the factors influencing the airfare price. The result obtained indicate that the airfare attribution has had a significant effect on both the airfare price of Thai Airasia and Bangkok Airway. Departure date is the main factors that effect on airfare price in positive way. While, the number of flights is the most influence variable in opposite way.
