The Innovation of HATI Tanah Tuber Pharmaceutical Preparation from Central Kalimantan

Abstract
Hati Tanah tuber (Angiopteris sp) is a plant from Central Kalimantan that has been trusted by the community as one of the plants that are efficacious as traditional medicine. Tuber from this plant have empirical properties as wound medicine, accelerating healing of postpartum wounds and malaria. Based on the research that has been done on ethanol extract and n-butanol fraction of hati tanah tuber can inhibit the growth of staphylococcus aureus bacteria at concentrations of 1% (w/v), 5% (w/v), 10% (w/v), and 15% (w/v).The inhibitory ability of ethanol extract and the hati tanah tubers n-butnaol fraction was due to containing secondary metabolites which had activities that could inhibit the growth of bacteria namely flavonoids, tannins and saponins. Based on this article, we will discuss the results of innovative research on pharmaceutical preparations from hati tanah tuber, namely ointment from ethanol extract and n-butanol fraction of hati tanah tuber using a variety of ointment base types. The base type of ointment used is the base of the hydrocarbon ointment and the water-soluble base. From the results of physical tests performed on ointments with two bases of different ointments gave good results and in accordance with the requirements of the physical properties of the ointment, namely homogeneity, pH, adhesion of ointment and the spread of ointment. The hope of the results of this study is to provide added value to hati tanah tuber simplicia to be used as traditional medicine based on the results of research so that the ointment from the ethanol extract and the n-butanol fraction of hati tanah tuber can be used safely and appropriately.
