The Role of Media in Community Resilience of Disaster
Abstract
The World Policy determined in the Hyogo framework for actions by 2005 to 2015 relies on resilience developments in nations and communities to disasters considering and implementation of 10 operational stresses. In the Sendai Framework as well as this issue has been focused on for crisis management. The performance of media in each stage of the crisis, including training and awareness before the crisis, informing, education, and association during the crisis and post-crisis analysis, and relaxation is obvious. Media create deep bonds between citizens by sharing information with people and are as carriers of values and common dreams which can maintain the headbands of community.
