Study on Evaluating Competency, Training and Performance in Logistics Industry

Abstract
This article examines the relationship between training, competency and performance of warehousing logistics industry.Data about competency and performance in warehousing logistics industry in Taiwan wasfrom 242 providers of employees who work in Logistics industry. A quantitative method has been used and also identifies Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) to test the relationship between observed variables and latent constructs. This research employs SPSS version 20 And Structural Equation Model (SEM) based on AMOS version 23 to analyze the data surveyed in the 5 logistics firms located in warehousing zone. Results reveal the empirical findings document a positive relationship between training, competency and performance. The study has practical implications for training, competency and performance in warehousing logistics industry. Literature and practical evidence recognize the need to assess the competency in order to assign tasks and responsibilities. The result of this study provides valuable insights into logistics competency constructs for the policymakers, academics, and other users to improve firm performance. Keywords- Competency. Logistics.
