Data Mining Approach for Assessment of Sports in Academics

Abstract
The paper represents the data mining techniques used for analyzing the students performance who are actively participating in sports. Educational institutions contain an enormous amount of academic database containing student details. The knowledge discovery databases which is also known as kdd process is referred as the extraction or mining the useful information from given data. It is helpful to develop a potent meaningful data to analysis & extracts the information from the large databases which is helpful in decision-making. This paper focus on mapping students related to sports using data mining techniques to reveal the hidden pattern and classifying students based on their demographic profile, gender, age, and education.
