Paper Title
CEO Overconfidence And International Expansion Process

Abstract
Although the importance of CEO overconfidence in firm decision-making has been quite discussed, the relationship between overconfident CEOs and internationalization remains relatively limited. This study examines the effect of CEO overconfidence on a firm’s international expansion process. Specifically, I test how CEO overconfidence predicts the pace and scope of international expansion. Hypotheses are tested with a sample of Taiwan’s listed firms. This study not only helps a better cognition of the antecedent of internationalization, but also enriches the understanding of the role that overconfident CEOs play in a firm’s foreign expansion.. Keywords- CEO overconfidence, international expansion process, internationalization pace, internationalization scope
