Investigating the Importance of Hotel Mobile Services

Abstract
The importance of information technology is well documented in the hotel industry. Now, more studies show hotels occupy a favorable position through mobile apps. In spite of the importance and prevalence of mobile technology in the hotel industry, few hotel apps provided directions to the hotel, transportation information, and check-in/out information, which were important for customers. Therefore, this project investigates the importance and performance of features used in hotel mobile apps. Specifically, this study explores five different features of hotel mobile apps: reservations, information, function, social media, and additional features and functions.
