A New Grouping Algorithm for Ranking Data

Abstract
The way of grouping students is an important factor to achieve the desired effectiveness for both teaching and learning. Traditional grouping methods are homogeneous grouping and heterogeneous grouping. Homogeneous grouping groups students with similar abilities together. In contrast, heterogeneous grouping distributes students of different abilities to each group evenly. In this paper, we propose a new heterogeneous grouping algorithm for ranking data.
