Abstract
The present study attempts to empirically examine the significance of the impact of R&D intensity and export activity on various indices of performance by utilizing accounting- and market-based performance within a sample of Korean leading companies. Considering all possible limitations that might exist with regard to theoretical foundation and methodological model, it is noted that the significance of selected strategic determinants of firm performance seems to be varied with different performance measures that are being implemented under study across the different country and industry settings.
