Paper Title
Quality Improvement of Health Care by Applying of Engineering Methods and Techniques
Abstract
This paper is the result of researches by a multidisciplinary team of experts and scientists from the area of industrial engineering, quality improvement and medicine. The goal of this paper is to define a generalized approach to the quality improvement in health care, in the function of classification and identification of priority areas for improvement by the combining several methods and techniques for the improvement of quality. This paper also presents a case study on the example of providing health care in Montenegro. Additionally, the goal of this paper is to indicate the opportunity of use of several methods and techniques so as to avoid a subjectivity in decision making processes and to obtain relevant and scientifically established results. First of all, this paper highlights the possibility of use of the cause- consequence method, ABC method, as well as the brainstorming method. Through the verification of the considered example, it has been proven that it is possible to use a combination of several engineering methods in the function of classification and identification of priority areas for improvement.
