Paper Title
Geotechnical Study of The Phenomenon of Retrograde Erosion

Abstract
This paper presents a geotechnical study of the site with process known as retrograde erosion in the margins of the Salado River, in the province of Santiago del Estero, Argentina. Through testing with standard penetration trial and laboratory test, the characterization physical, chemical and mechanical soil is carried. The soil is a fine silt clay and eolic silt, with unified classification CL and CL-ML of Santiago plain and with characteristics of collapse of the structure because an increment of the humidity. For the numerical simulation, the MRS-Lade Model for partially saturated soil was used. Finally, the solutions implemented are discussed. Index Terms - Collapsibility, Retrograde Erosion, Silt Clays, Simulation.
