Methodological Directions for Risk Assessment of The Working Conditions of Workers in Petrochemical Enterprises of The Republic of Kazakhstan
Abstract
The article discusses the methodological directions of risk assessment of the working conditions of workers of enterprises of the petrochemical industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In particular, the article used the method of assessing occupational risk based on the results of certification of workplaces, which was considered by M.R. Rotfeld in the article “Development of Assessment and Identification of Risk Situations as One of the Forms of Improving Labor Protection Management”. Also, the risk level for the Atyrau Refinery Plant-(ARP) was calculated taking into account the data provided by the Atyrau Refinery Plant-(ATR) in the reporting in the Novator newspaper for February 23, 2017. According to this rating, the Atyrau Refinery Plant –(ATR) is rated in the range from 0 to 1 by risk level, which indicates a good situation at the plant. But, nevertheless, it was not possible to assess the remaining components of occupational risk due to the lack of data, so the article proposed the Elmeri methodology, which would help to more accurately calculate the occupational risks at the enterprises of the chemical and petrochemical industry.
