Phenomenological Enquiry Into The ‘Educational Leadership Experience’ Of Being A Teacher-Leader Of Gifted Students, Studied From The Perspective Of The Teacher
This research proposal topic focuses on the education leadership experience of the teacher of gifted high school students from the perspective of the teacher-leader. Through the form of an interpretive phenomenological enquiry the study will investigate the ‘reality’ of the experience of being an educational leader in this context. The relevance and importance of this proposed research focus is linked to the point that government policymakers and education service providers (schools) are increasingly placing a high priority on meeting the needs of gifted students through the provision of effective gifted (and talented) learning programs.
