Numerical Investigation Of Drag On A Trailing Aerodynamic Sedan Vehicle
Abstract
The study focusses on the slipstreaming effect on an aerodynamic sedan vehicle, trailing a container truck on highways. The simulation was carried out using ANSYS FLUENT CFD software. The effect of distance of separation of the vehicles to slipstreaming has been studied and critical distance is found out. The relative drag during slipstreaming at different velocities at the critical distance has also been addressed. f reckless driving in sensitive areas.
